Can I use Snappy Tom Crystal Clean cat litter for pet rats litter tray?
Can I line my 2 female pet rats new litter tray with Snappy Tom Crystal Clean? I’m afraid that they will eat it and die or something! I once put a normal clay cat litter but they started to eat it so I quickley took it out. Snappy Tom Crystal Clean says its only ingredient is SILICA and it’s all natural? Please help 
No it isn’t safe. Stay away from crystal cat litters and clumping cat litters. Yesterday’s News cat litter works GREAT as bedding for rats. Try Carefresh small animal bedding or Aspen shavings (the only safe wood bedding). You can also use fleece as bedding which is cheaper as you can simply wash the fleece with unscented detergent and use it again. I myself don’t use any bedding at all. I wipe down the shelves every other day as mine are litter trained. In their litter box I use Yesterday’s News.
